The Crecelius family will always be grateful to the many people and organizations who supported this project since its beginning in 1995.  The search for information about Randy’s activities encompassed both military and civilian records.  He was twenty five years old when he died.  We now know more about  those years because of the help of the people and organizations listed below.

 

I believe everyone I tried to contact responded in some form, although for several it was from a family member saying that my original contact had died or was not able to help for one reason or another.  For those that did respond, there were some who went way beyond what could reasonably be expected in this type of research.   

 

This is an alphabetical list of the people who responded to my inquiries and their home state.  In a very few instances I did identify, with bold, those who I have communicated with extensively over the years or who repeatedly sent information or communications.  Some people sent me a quick note saying they did not know Randy….. but continued to share with me what role they had in World War II.  Some just said they were in the same flight class or the same training location or in New Guinea or Australia.  Some of them sent me volumes of information including original documents of their orders and other items.  Several sent books and other valuable materials.  Every piece of information was helpful.
